School uniforms. Not something many of us remember fondly, but for the children of Haiti they represent hope, dignity and a sense of optimism for the future. The pride Haitian parents place in their children’s uniform is something to behold. Row after row of perfectly turned out children, despite the fact that their parents haven’t seen a functioning washing machine for almost 10 years.
We ship as many uniform pieces as we possibly can. Jumpers, shirts, skirts, t-shirts, shoes – anything that will help the children feel part of a brighter future. Our donors are generous to a fault and we must thank Truly Fare, Penneys and Lidl in particular for their ongoing support in this special aspect of our work.
