At Project ESPWA, we normally work to help vulnerable people in Haiti, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. But when we saw the suffering of the Ukrainian people, we knew we had to help. We’ve years of experience when it comes to shipping aid to those in need, and when we put out the call for Ukraine, the response was overwhelming. Irish people donated enough food, clothing, bedding and medical supplies to fill three 40’ shipping containers at our Cork warehouse. The local Ukrainian, Polish and Romanian communities were with us over the weekend sorting and packing from first light till last.
How you can help
Our issue now is not supplies, it’s the cost of sending them. The two containers we have ready to go cost €4,000 each to purchase before shipping costs to get to the Ukrainian border. Our contacts in Poland and Romania will ensure that every single item makes it across the border and into the hands of those who need it most.
At our secure donate facility powered by Donorbox – https://www.projectespwa.ie/donate/ – you can make a donation to help us get this urgent aid to Ukraine. Every hour counts and we desperately need your help. Please donate any amount you can – your donation will ensure a frightened child has a warm blanket and hot meal, despite the dark days ahead.
Thank you
