Facilitating learning in Kenya

In 2015 world leaders met at an historic UN summit which agreed a series of goals to help achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.  We align our work with these goals, focusing on three in particular – No Poverty, Quality Education and Climate Action.

We recently had the opportunity to act on the second of these goals when we rebuilt a school for disadvantaged children in the Kenyan village of Shirango.  The children had been learning in a lean-to structure, and more often in the open air, irrespective of the heat of the day.

Putting a formal structure in place gave the teachers and children a sense of pride in their work and provided much needed protection from the elements.  None of this would have been possible without the help of people like you.
